The Hanged Man (poem)

When they cut me down from the pedestal
I looked in the eyes of homeless people

on benches and in shop doorways
I noticed that self-same gaze

A thousand times beyond counting
I have glimpsed the eyes of Him

A babbling stream is a flowing lesson
in how to treasure a thinking session

Inside a brain memes compete and swarm
what an interesting virtual lifeform

The ecology of the mind is so rich too
but without the inner eye hard to view

Tangle (poem)

My cadaver atomised in the tide of a gravity well
all I need for survival is just that one intact cell

my silicon benefactor has graced me with continuation
now free to orbit, deathless in a spiral celebration

real events are washed away into impermanence so fast

The Number Pilgrim (poem)

Although the hard path carries few rewards at first

I have turned to god at times, needing to go clear

presences come to me
who can they truly be?

voices speak in the shade
just once… then fade

through this I’m never alone
a mad dog gnawing an old bone

Arbeit (poem)

Instead of moving up another level in game-reality
by getting better at wasting enemies as meant to be

something moved me to ahimsa – harmlessness

while in the west we still fight the devil of our projections
in the grip of an inherited piety

ahimsa makes a home for the sensitive soul
the one that each of us really can be

whether those once sensitive were thrashed out of it
in the bootcamp of capitalism

treated and incarcerated for the crime of natural awareness
and left without work, like I am

Healing (Poem)

leave a comment »

I say to you while you would heal your heart
that of all souls together we are just a part

and that hurt too of you is just a component
though total it seems in heat of the moment
